How to get my 19 month daughter off the pacifer quick?

My 19 month old will not go to sleep without her pacifier. She gets it for nap and bedtime. I have tried everything to get her off of it. I have put holes in the pacifiers and she stills sucks them. I have tired cutting the tip off. She will put it in her mouth then take it out and start crying all night long. I don't like the cry it out method cause she will cry so long til it's hard for her to catch her breath. She even wakes up in the middle of the crying for her pacifier. She will not go back to sleep until I put the pacifier in her mouth. She never has been a good sleeper. I wonder when she's off the pacifier will it help her to sleep better. I am so tired of waking up Thur the night giving her a pacifier. Can anyone please help me?
