If the burial of organic material derived from photosynthesis were solely responsible for aculation of atmospheric oxygen then how much organic matter would you expect to find "buried" on the Earth today? How does this compare to the actual amount of organic material (kerogen+ natural gas + petroleum + biom + peat) present?
