How does nose shape define geographic orientation?

I am of middle eastern & swiss decent....I have always hated my long nose with its HUGE dorsal hump & droopy, bulbus tip. What is the scientific reason as related to climate/geographical region? I mean why do people from Africa have flat, wide noses? Europeans have skinny, upturned noses of various lengths, but middle easterners have these camel hump noses! WHY!!?!?
