Please help if you are good at Reasoning or Negotiating?

So I irresponsibly missed my DEFFERED midterm because I thought it was at a different time. I spoke to my proff and after a discussion, he wants me to come back to him in two days and tell him what I would do if I were him. I want the weight of this midterm to fall on the final but add a punishment so that I get what I deserve. He also wants to teach me responsibility. What should I suggest to him. OR what would you do if you were in my shoes.
