Forms of Communion in The Old Man and the Sea? (repost)?
Communion means more than just the breaking of bread, which automatically is what you think of when you hear that word right? In fiction It basically means the meal that a character is eating with another is symbolic right? well, I was igned the theme of "communion" in The Old Man and the Sea, and I'm stuck. Like, is eating his dinner with the boy a communion? if so, what does it mean? also, when he is out to sea and he kills and eats the fish and dolphin, is that also communion? Please help me, it would be greatly appreciated. (:
