Do you think I could ride a bike? I'm 25 I have a hearing loss in my left ear since birth. My mom has always been concerned about me bike riding because she thinks I won't be able to balance on it. One of the doctors told her that. I've read and heard about deaf bikers they can't hear a thing. My mom told me not only am I not able to balance I can't hear what's going on in my left ear while doing it. We never lived in a safe area to do it. I tried to tell her there are deaf bikers but she compares me to other people. Some deaf people bike ride they can't hear a thing. She thinks I'm too old to learn she said I survived not doing it. There are adult bike cles. That was a doctor from years ago who told my mom that I shouldn't bike ride. If she still keeps saying I can't do it I may wait until I move out.
